Lighthouse TG provided systemwide programming and troubleshooting services for the City of Northglenn to restore and optimize traffic signal fire preemption for emergency vehicles. This effort focused on ensuring that emergency responders could travel more safely and efficiently through key intersections during active calls.
Without requiring major equipment replacements, Lighthouse technicians performed detailed signal cabinet diagnostics and programming updates across all signalized intersections in the city. Through targeted troubleshooting alone, our team successfully restored full preemption functionality at seven previously non-operational signals.
A key part of the project included activating and validating preemption along the heavily traveled 104th Avenue corridor, between Huron Street and I-25. This stretch includes several high-volume intersections, where functioning emergency vehicle preemption is critical to reducing response times and improving public safety. Lighthouse’s ability to restore these systems with minimal disruption and no additional hardware costs delivered immediate operational benefits to the city and its emergency services.
