Lighthouse TG was selected to provide comprehensive construction services for a multi-faceted traffic and pedestrian improvement project along Coffman Street in downtown Longmont. The scope of work included the installation of three brand new traffic signals strategically placed to enhance traffic control and safety at key intersections along the corridor. Additionally, one outdated traffic signal was removed to improve intersection efficiency and align with the city's updated traffic flow strategy.
To further support pedestrian and multi-modal access, Lighthouse installed several high-visibility crosswalks equipped with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs). These installations provide an extra layer of safety by alerting motorists to pedestrian crossings with highly visible, user-activated flashing lights.
This project is part of the City of Longmont’s broader initiative to transform Coffman Street into a more accessible, walkable, and pedestrian-friendly corridor. Lighthouse worked closely with city staff, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless construction, timely delivery, and minimal disruption to local businesses and traffic during the build. The result is a safer, more connected downtown environment that supports multiple modes of transportation and enhances the overall experience for residents and visitors.
