Lighthouse TG was contracted by the City of Thornton to replace two traffic signal poles that had been identified as structurally compromised during a routine inspection. Both poles exhibited advanced rust and corrosion, including visible holes near the base, posing a significant safety concern for the public and city maintenance staff.
Our team coordinated closely with city engineers to assess the condition, plan the removal, and install new poles that met current structural and electrical standards. The replacement process involved careful disassembly of the existing signal hardware, removal of the deteriorated poles, and installation of new foundations and poles with full signal head reattachment and alignment.
Lighthouse completed the work with minimal disruption to traffic, ensuring the intersection remained safe and functional throughout the project. The timely replacement not only addressed immediate safety risks but also extended the service life of the intersection’s infrastructure.
